Course Description:
This course will guide students through a reading of Islamic Laws, a new translation of Sayyid al-Sistani’s Tawẓīḥ al-masāʾil. As a supplement to the text, students will be exposed to some of the verses and traditions that form the basis of the laws. They will also be exposed to legal maxims that will help them see patterns instead of the seeming randomness of the law manual.
Practical Fiqh V is the fifth in a series of courses on the subject and will cover the laws of marriage to the end of the book. While this course is a continuation of Practical Fiqh I-IV, new students will be able to join without difficulty.
