Program Description:
We conducted a series of interviews with professionals in various careers. These are individuals who are both devoted to Islam and successful in their careers. Our purpose was:
- to expose young Muslims to careers off the beaten path (i.e., outside of healthcare, engineering, and IT) to expand their career horizons.
- to alert them to the moral challenges in various career paths and possible solutions.
- to give them advice on ways to make the best use of their time at university and during summer vacation.
- to connect attendees to mentors in strong professional positions.
- to help young women weigh their options of pursuing a career alongside family life or taking on the important job of raising children and making a home full time.
